Birthday Thoughts

November 2, 1956 – a star is born!

Yes, that would be little ol’ me. Today, fifty-five years later, it’s hard to believe that more than a half century has passed since I arrived on this planet. Half century? Ouch, that sounds really old, doesn’t it?

One of the things I like about birthdays is that it gives me a chance to reflect on the previous year and dream about the next one. Today, however, I’m looking back on 55 years and all that encompasses. It’s been a full life … so far.

I’ve accomplished all my dreams, and even a few that I didn’t know I had. So what’s next?

I guess that’s one reason I set up this blog. I want to challenge myself to find more dreams, passions, reasons to be alive. I also want to expand my mind and stretch my body beyond my perceived limitations and find out just what I’m capable of.

I want people to look at me and say, “I can’t believe you’re fifty-five.”  So I can smile and say, “This is what fifty-five can be (and do)!”

Look out world! I just became a senior!!

you are so funny! what do you mean do it now, you can analyze later?

    • I tend to analyze things ahead of time, think about it over and over again, and then never actually do it. So, from this point on, I’m just going to do it! And I’ll have plenty of time to think about it later 🙂

Really enjoy reading your blog “old” friend.
An even very slightly “older” friend.
